Most of Nat’s keynote addresses are built around his personal experience and learning during a 5-year circumnavigation of the globe aboard his 43’ South African-built cutter, BAHATI.  As owner and captain of this tough offshore sailing vessel, Nat encountered many leadership challenges including how to help manage a small crew during long and sometimes rough-weather passages in unfamiliar territory both far out to sea and close to home.  Cultural differences in countries visited by BAHATI’s crew often presented additional challenges for Nat and his ever-changing team comprised of people from several different countries, backgrounds, and ages.
